I’m thinking about seeing the third Men in Black movie today. I was listening to the Men in Black 3 soundtrack and it was pretty cool (check out this Men in Black 3 Soundtrack page for a preview of the album and a little more information), plus I’ve been a fan of all the other MIB movies. I’ll be the first to admit that this album was not as good as the others, especially the first. However, there was enough that I liked about the first single, ‘Back in Time’ by Pitbull to give both the MIB3 album and the movie itself a try.

It looks like the rest of the soundtrack is going to be the score by Danny Elfman. That guy is an absolute movie legend, and has had a hand in so many classic tv and movie music moments, that is affiliation has got to be a good sign. It looks like the rest of the album is just the score. I hope not. The MIB films have always had good soundtracks, so they should know what they are doing with this new album.

From what I know about Men in Black 3, Will Smith has to go back in time to save Tommy Lee Jones, and I assume if he doesn’t the world will end or something. Josh Brolin plays the younger Jones, but with the original actor’s voice, which looks quite cool. Check out the album cover art above to see who I am talking about. The other thing I like about the movie is that it has Jermaine from Flight of the Concords on there, who is usually hilarious. I didn’t recognise him at first as he had so much makeup but it’s definitely him.
